Forget You

“Forget You” is about grieving the person I was before my accident. The version of me who could walk, who lived a completely different life and had no idea how quickly everything could change. After becoming a wheelchair user, I had to learn how to live as the person I am now while still carrying memories of someone who feels both incredibly familiar and almost like a stranger. The title isn’t about wanting to erase my past — it’s about wondering whether I need to let go of the old me in order to move forward. It’s a song about identity, grief and the strange experience of mourning somebody who is technically still here.
